Yuriy P. - 21/Dec/2020 5 of 5 Stars!
I think that all the heated debates around this album are purely questions of style, but not quality and professionalism, coupled with talent, which this group is by no means deprived of. I recently discovered the work of Megadeth ... although, perhaps, I could have done it earlier, if not for all these endless comparisons and contrasts with Metallica, genre battles trying to figure out what is trash and what is not trash, streams of dirt in comments and other near-musical verbiage. But as they say, better late than never. But now there is an opportunity to appreciate the amazing creative diversity of this band, which not every metal band can boast of. But now, actually, about the album. There is an impeccable recording quality, professionalism and, no matter what anyone says, soul. Especially sincere and lyrical sounded "Ecstasy" and the dilogy "Time". I disagree about the presence of "rapprochement" in "Ecstasy". It is unlikely that Dave and the company on the other side of the ocean were inspired by primordially Russian thieves, so let's leave the fans of the thug genre alone. As for the album "Crush 'Em", announced as the main hit, despite the simplicity and some pomp, the composition has a healthy energy and interesting melody. An excellent video was shot on it, which looks much better than the film, in the soundtrack of which this thing sounds. The rest of the album's compositions are also interesting in their own way and are in their place. The result is a solid, positive, and possibly the softest and most melodic album in the band's creative collection. As for the occasional accusations of following the band's fashion and commercial orientation ... well, music is, among other things, their bread, which the guys quite honestly earn. No hackwork, only music, always different and always wonderful, for which many thanks to this excellent team!

First bought this album in 1999. First I read negative reviews in specialized magazines, I was afraid that my favorite band wrote bad songs. But, having come home from the store, I heard good music. It was not a typical Megadeth, but very interesting! In "I'll Be There" Mustaine showed how to write an excellent rock ballad. And "The Doctor Is Calling" is my second favorite song from the album. A good album when you want to relax a bit!

Megadeth 's 8th album. Drummer is change. No more Nick. Sound is changed to smooth rock. No More Tough Thrash. But sometimes I like to listen this album.

Killer Megadeth album but remember they are trying out different styles here. So it is more heavy pop rock instead of thrash metal. Nonetheless it's a fantastic effort by the legendary Megadeth, I love it even though it's different.
