"Reload" is a powerful CD release by Metallica, issued by Mercury, that captures the band in a phase of stylistic expansion while remaining rooted in heavy, riff-driven rock and metal. The album presents a darker, more groove-oriented sound with mid-tempo tracks, layered guitar work and a strong focus on mood and atmosphere. Listeners can expect a mix of aggressive riffs, memorable choruses and more experimental arrangements that showcase Metallica's willingness to push beyond pure thrash into hard rock and alternative-tinged territory. The production emphasizes clarity and punch, giving each instrument -- especially the dense guitars and the commanding vocals -- a prominent place in the soundscape, making this CD a compelling listen for long-time fans and newcomers who appreciate heavy music with depth.

Mercury, as the label behind this edition, brings its expertise as a long-established, internationally active record company known for developing and supporting major artists across rock, pop and other genres. The label's experience in high-quality studio productions and global distribution ensures a professional presentation and reliable audio quality, from the mastering of the tracks to the physical manufacturing of the CD. This background makes the Mercury release of "Reload" a solid choice for collectors and fans who value both musical content and production standards.

Metallica, formed in the early 1980s, count among the most influential metal bands in music history. With their blend of speed, heaviness and songwriting finesse, they helped define and popularize thrash metal worldwide. Over the years, they have achieved massive commercial success with multi-platinum albums and have built a reputation as a formidable live band, filling arenas and stadiums across the globe. Their body of work contains numerous genre-defining songs, and their evolution from raw underground metal to global rock institution has left a lasting impact on several generations of bands and listeners.

For fans of intense, guitar-driven rock who also appreciate a band's willingness to evolve, this Mercury CD edition of "Reload" offers an engaging snapshot of Metallica's ongoing creative journey. It is well-suited for collectors, for those revisiting the band's catalogue, and for anyone looking for powerful, atmospheric heavy music presented in a high-quality physical format.

The sweet couple Load / Reload was conceived as a double album, but in order to earn more it was transformed into two albums. Nothing good came of it - the album is almost identical to Load, with the exception that the songs are worse. And again, damn long - under 80 minutes. You can highlight a couple of good things. I personally like "Memory Remains", well, maybe "Low Man's Lyric" and "Fixxxer". Well, everything else can be safely missed. But what pleases you is the beautiful sound! The guys are all the same great musicians, and the production did not disappoint.
