"The Incident" ist das zehnte und letzte Studioalbum von der Progressive Rock Band Porcupine Tree. Es erschien 2009 bei Roadrunner Records und wurde bei den Grammy Awards 2011 in der Kategorie "Best Surround Sound Album" nominiert, konnte sich aber nicht gegen den Gewinner "Britten?s Orchestra" durchsetzen. - Special edition limited to 2000 numbered copies worldwide. A regular edition was also released separately.
This edition includes a 48-page 12inch book. Each disc is housed in a separate picture sleeve, and everything is packaged in custom printed PVC slipcase.
Written and recorded between September 2008 - May 2009 at Air Lyndhurst, Monkey Puzzle, No-Man's Land, Bourne Place, The Artillery, Nightspace, and Red Room Recorders.
Additional guitars recorded at Red Room Recorders.
