Some of the names are quite well known such as Albert King, Lightnin Hopkins, Lowell Fulsom, Earl Hooker, Big Bill Broonzy and Mississippi Fred McDowell - while others such as L.C. McKinley, John Brim and Johnny Fuller, whose names are not exactly household ones, played a major role on many of the biggest early electric blues records of all time. Each of the twenty different guitarists on this collection have their own unique style and are equally important in the development of the blues guitar genre. |
