"Live Quartz (digipak)" is a classic live CD by the British heavy metal band Quartz, presented in an elegant digipak edition and manufactured by Plastic Head. Capturing the band on stage at full power, this release showcases their raw, unfiltered New Wave of British Heavy Metal energy: tight twin-guitar attacks, solid rhythmic foundations and melodic yet gritty vocals. The live setting gives songs extra drive and spontaneity; extended solos, direct interaction with the audience and a more aggressive sound make this CD a must-have for collectors of authentic live metal recordings. The digipak format offers a more sophisticated presentation than a standard jewel case, with space for artwork, photos and liner notes that underline the vintage charm of this performance.

Quartz are one of the cult bands of the late 1970s and early 1980s British heavy metal scene, standing alongside contemporaries of the NWOBHM wave. Known for their riff-driven songs, powerful live shows and their contribution to the evolution of traditional heavy metal, Quartz have earned a loyal fan base in the underground. Their early albums are regarded as insider tips among genre enthusiasts and have influenced later generations of metal musicians with their combination of straightforward heaviness and melodic finesse. This live CD testifies to their stage experience and documents the band in a period in which the live energy was a decisive trademark of heavy metal.

Plastic Head, as manufacturer and distributor, is known in the rock and metal scene for its long-standing commitment to niche and cult artists. The company has built a solid reputation for making classic, rare and sometimes long-out-of-print titles available again, often in carefully curated editions. With a strong focus on quality in both sound and packaging, Plastic Head supports labels and bands from the rock, punk and metal spectrum and ensures that historically significant releases such as "Live Quartz (digipak)" remain accessible to fans and collectors. This CD benefits from that expertise, delivering a product that appeals both sonically and visually to listeners who appreciate authentic, traditionally rooted heavy metal.
