Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit kehren mit ihrem ersten Album seit drei Jahren zurück. Es heiÃ?t â??Reunionsâ?? und wird über Isbellâ??s eigenes Label Southeastern Records veröffentlicht. â??Reunionsâ?? ist dabei so etwas wie die Fortsetzung von â??The Nashville Soundâ?? aus dem Jahr 2017, welches auf Platz 4 der Billboard Top 200 und #1 in den Rock-, Americana- / Folk- und Country-Album-Charts der USA debütierte. Es ist das vierte Album zusammen mit seiner Band The 400 Unit. Isbell kam dafür erneut mit Produzent Dave Cobb im Studio zusammen. Der aus Nashville stammende Cobb ist auch bekannt für seine Arbeit mit Sturgill Simpson und The Highwomen, der Supergruppe mit Isbells Frau Amanda Shires. Ã?ber die Veröffentlichung teilt Isbell mit: "Auf diesem Album gibt es eine Menge Geister. Manchmal geht es in den Liedern um die Geister von Menschen, die nicht mehr da sind, aber sie handeln auch davon, wer ich einmal war, der Geist von mir selbst. Ich habe mich dabei ertappt, wie ich Lieder geschrieben habe, die ich vor fünfzehn Jahren schreiben wollte, aber damals hatte ich noch nicht genug Lieder geschrieben, um zu wissen, wie man das macht. Gerade jetzt habe ich es zu meiner eigenen Zufriedenheit geschafft. In diesem Sinne ist es ein Wiedersehen mit meinem damaligen Ich". - 4-TIME GRAMMY AWARD WINNER2020 release. His last album - 2017's The Nashville Sound - a #1 album on the Billboard Folk, Independent, Country and Rock albums charts, also received Best Americana Album at the Grammys, Album Of The Year At The Americana Honors & Awards and was nominated at the CMA Awards for Album Of The Year. Since then, he has collaborated on the soundtrack for A Star Is Born, the debut album by the Highwomen, and Sheryl Crow's latest album Threads. He also released a live album, Live From the Ryman.Packaged in a trifold cardboard cover with 12-page booklet including lyrics.
