Die Geschichte der Band begann im Dezember 2017, als der Singer-Songwriter Steve Newman beschloss, ein paar Songs zu schreiben, die sich musikalisch von den bisherigen Arbeiten, die er für seine Band Newman schrieb, unterscheiden sollten. Dies neuen Songs sollten etwas ganz Anderes sein â?? befreiend, musikalisch und lyrisch. Er wollte die Freiheit, sich über Genres hinweg zu bewegen und sich nicht auf einen bestimmten Musikstil festzulegen.
Damit Steve Newman seine Ideen umsetzen konnte, beschloss er nach einem Sänger zu suchen. 2018 wurde Steve auf Ben Green aufmerksam und nach einigen Gesprächen über seine Vorstellungen und die Songs, begann seine Vision Gestalt anzunehmen. Zusammen gründeten sie Compass. 2019 stie� Dave Barlett, ehemaliges Mitglied der Newman-Touring-Band, dazu, und Toni Lakush vervollständigte schlie�lich die Band. Die Aufnahmen für das Album wurden dann zwischen Januar und April in den Chrome Dome Studios in London fertiggestellt.
