Seine arabische Abstammung zusammen mit seiner jüdischen Erziehung war transformativ, da er die reiche Schönheit und die tiefgreifende kulturelle Komplexität aus einer musikalischen Perspektive betrachtete.
â??Originationsâ?? wurde für sein langjähriges Chicagoer Sextett plus Streichquartett komponiert und ist für ihn als musikalischer Geschichtenerzähler eine natürliche Entwicklung, da solche Motive ein zentraler Katalysator in seinen früheren Aufnahmen waren.
