Description:Re-Issue des Album von 1999. Dystopia war eine Sludge-Band aus Orange County, Kalifornien. Die Band bezeichnet sich als "doom-ridden, metal-laced, down-tuned punk with a â??love earth - hate peopleâ?? Philosophen. Musikalisch bewegt sich die Gruppe im Sludge-Genre, das heiÃ?t die Musik ist sehr langsam und enthält Anleihen aus dem Doom Metal. Gerade am Anfang sind auch Einflüsse des Grind- und Crustcores erkennbar, die jedoch später einem eher death-metal-artigen Sound wichen. -
Dystopia was an Orange County, California crust punk outfit which touched on themes of environmentalism, racial equality, substance abuse, and animal rights. The vinyl 2LP collection, The Aftermath, contains all Dystopia tracks off of The Aftermath 12" (1-4), Backstabber 7" EP (5-7), Dystopia / Skaven split LP (8-11), and Dystopia / Suffering Luna split 7" (12).
Comes in a regular plastic case with clear tray. Includes a 16-page booklet.
"The Aftermath" on CD by Dystopia is a harrowing journey through bleak soundscapes that fuse sludge, crust punk, and doom into a suffocating yet captivating whole. Crushing riffs, down-tuned guitars, and anguished vocals collide with slow, heavy rhythms to create an atmosphere of despair, social critique, and emotional catharsis. Lyrically, the album delves into themes such as addiction, mental struggle, environmental ruin, and societal collapse, capturing a raw, unfiltered snapshot of a world in decay. The dense production emphasizes weight and texture, allowing each track to unfold like a bleak narrative, with samples and interludes reinforcing the oppressive mood. This CD edition is ideal for listeners who appreciate intense, boundary-pushing heavy music that is as visceral as it is thought-provoking, and who value an immersive listening experience best consumed from start to finish.

The band's legacy rests not on mainstream charts, but on their deep impact on underground heavy music and the fervent loyalty of fans who see Dystopia as a defining voice of misanthropic, socially aware heaviness.
