Der Sound von Axe ist rockig, melodisch und radiotauglich, mit treibenden Gitarrenriffs, hohem Gesang und stampfendem Bass und Schlagzeug, wobei die Keyboards im Hintergrund bleiben, wie es sich für eine gute Hardrock-Veröffentlichung gehört. Der Album-Opener "Rock n' Roll Party In The Streets" war ein Hit, aber Songs wie "Holdin' On" und "Steal Another Fantasy" hätten genauso gut Hit-Singles werden können. -
