Otis Redding is widely regarded as one of the defining voices of 1960s soul. Known for his deeply emotional delivery and electrifying stage presence, he became a cornerstone of the Stax Records sound and a central figure in Southern soul. His interpretations of ballads and his dynamic uptempo tracks influenced generations of artists across soul, rock, and R&B. Among his best-known successes are timeless songs such as "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay," which became a posthumous classic and cemented his status as an icon. This CD captures the essence of what made Redding so special: a rare ability to convey vulnerability, strength, and passion in every note.

Ivica S. - 30/Aug/2020 5 of 5 Stars!
Do not hesitate to add this gem to your collection. Great 60s... It was a communal experience, between singer and fans, not isolated, and that somehow added a social dimension to the music that I can’t strip away even when I listen to it now, decades later. Highly recommended
